The Michigan Works! System
|
is a customer focused workforce development system that prepares people for work. Assistance to all employers and job seekers is available to ensure that employers are provided with a supply of skilled workers and individuals are provided with an opportunity to advance knowledge and skills to achieve economic self-sufficiency.
The heart of this system is the more than 100 Michigan Works! Service Centers. A Service Center is a location where a wide range of employment, training, and career education services are available. The system is open to everyone interested in finding a worker, finding a job, or getting career information. For a Service Center nearest you, click Service Center Location.
Employers seeking workers can list their job openings on the nation's first Internet-based public labor exchange system. Job seekers can post their resumes for review by employers who are recruiting workers. You can access the Michigan Talent Bank, an Internet-based system for job matching, by clicking this link to Michigan's Talent Bank.
The system is built on local decision-making that reflects the specific community needs of both employers and job seekers. In Michigan, the question is no longer "What are you eligible for?" Now we ask, "What can we do to help you?"
Training is now available to the public!
