Business counseling begins
with an assessment of your business or business idea. Counselors
can perform an eight page assessment for existing businesses
to identify areas of weakness and provide suggestions for
improvements. Start-up businesses may receive an abbreviated
assessment based on the information provided in your start-up
concept.
You may make your request for business
counseling by contacting us and scheduling an appointment. Applicants who do not qualify for free
services may be charged a nominal fee.

A public/private venture
is defined as a collaborative, partnership, or alliance
to facilitate community and economic development activity.
CFCDC’s partnership in public private/ventures is
a partial fulfillment of its mission to improve the quality
of life for low to moderate-income persons. Generally, CFCDC’s
public private ventures are developed to create jobs, housing
and community redevelopment.
Our partners may
include local, state or federal government, businesses,
and other non-profit agencies. Examples of these types of
ventures with local government include the Cocoa Enterprise
Center (Cocoa, Florida), Spring Hill Community Resource
Center (DeLand, Florida), and Daytona Beach Enterprise Center
(Daytona Beach, Florida), SBA Microloan Program (Volusia,
County). Examples of other ventures include Homebuyer’s
Club (Washington Mutual Bank).
We are continually
developing ventures to improve the quality of life for low
