Congressional Internship Application

Internships are a wonderful opportunity to gain firsthand knowledge of Capitol Hill and the legislative process. Internships are unpaid and offered on a full or part-time basis and are available for high school and undergraduate students.  Work hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

While an intern, you will be able to serve in many different capacities and learn how the House of Representatives operates. Some of the activities you may find yourself involved with include:

  • answering telephones;
  • attending committee hearings;
  • working on special projects;
  • researching legislation;
  • general office duties

If you are interested in becoming an intern you may fill out this application. Please submit all applications for Fall 2012 Internship Applications by August 6, 2012. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Maria Espinoza in my Capitol Hill office at 202-225-3496 or at maria.espinoza@mail.house.gov.
