The USMSPB Mobile Application is designed to allow on-the-go access to USMSPB Decisions, Case Reports, Press Releases, Studies, and Issues of Merit Newsletter RSS feeds. These feeds originate from MSPB.GOV.
To view the Menu, put your finger on the icon in the left side of the gray status bar at the bottom of the screen and slide or swipe it upward, toward the top of the screen. The Menu will appear.
The menu displays the five RSS feeds and additional options. To open a Menu item, just tap it.
After you open a Menu item, tap the area where the name of the RSS feed and the refresh icon appear in the lower right corner of the screen on the gray status bar to refresh the content of a feed. Tap a document to be able to veiw ("Go to Article") or Share it.
Tap the grid icon on the black status bar at the bottom of the screen to Share or view ("Go to Article") a document.
Grid options...
Tap Share to share a document. The options you see for sharing a document via email or social media depend on related accounts and apps installed on your device.
Tap the grid icon on the black status bar at the bottom of the screen to view a document.
Tap Go to Article.
The options you see for viewing a document depend on the applications installed on your device.
Once you select an option to view a document, it will download to your device. Tap the download icon on your device to view the document.
The document will open in the viewer that you selected from the view options screen. Hyperlinks in a document only work if the viewer apps you select supports hyperlinks in PDF documents. In addition, some e-reader apps display downloaded documents on the app's "bookshelf" for viewing at any time without an internet connection.
Screen Modes: The USMSPB Mobile App does not support landscape mode at this time.
Comments, "liking", and Facebook: The Android version of the USMSPB Mobile App currently does not support commenting, "liking", or posting documents to Facebook. The iOS version does. We will let users know when this feature becomes available for Android devices.
We are working on these issues. We will broadcast an app message when they are resolved and when new versions of the software become available. Please report additional bugs or comments on the Android version of the USMSPB Mobile App through the MSPB Website.
