Outreach
Each year, thousands of students and community members visit Argonne and participate in a range of outreach activities and events with our world-class scientists and engineers.

Ever wonder what takes place at a national laboratory?

Our nation's future depends on finding better ways to use clean energy, protect our environment and ensure our national security. See first-hand by taking a tour of the laboratory or get the information directly from the source by inviting an Argonne speaker to talk with your group or class.

The demands of our changing economy and workforce require a renewed emphasis on science, technology, engineering and mathematics. From grade school to grad school and beyond, Argonne's educational programs help prepare and inspire our next generation of scientists and engineers.

Another outreach activity is the Argonne National Laboratory/U.S. Department of Energy Community Leaders Round Table. This quarterly forum provides an opportunity for citizens and constituencies from Argonne's surrounding communities to share information and exchange ideas. For more information, please contact Brian Quirke (630/252-2423 or brian.quirke@ch.doe.gov) at the U.S. Department of Energy or Cindy Wilkinson (630/252-5561 or cindy@anl.gov) at Argonne.
