Pelosi Statement on Obama Administration’s Government Reorganization Proposal

Washington, D.C. – Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi released the following statement today on the Obama Administration’s proposal to reorganize government departments: 

“President Obama put forward a plan to make our government more efficient and more effective.  The President’s proposal reflects the concerns House Democrats have heard from the thousands of small business entrepreneurs we have met with in the last few months.  Small businesses need access to capital, they want to boost manufacturing and the export of American-made goods around the world, and they are prepared to compete, grow, and hire – meeting America’s top  priority which is to create jobs. 

“Republicans and Democrats have called for government reforms on behalf of efficiency; that is why I hope Congress acts without delay on President Obama’s proposal in a bipartisan way.”
