Eric Lippold
Assistant Inspector General for the Office of Management and Policy
Mr. Eric M. Lippold was appointed Assistant Inspector General for the Office of Management and Policy on August 15, 2012. As the Assistant Inspector General, Mr. Lippold is responsible for planning, managing, implementing, and directing a wide range of management and administrative support activities. These include strategic planning, performance management and reporting, budget, financial and procurement services, space and property management, human resources management, training programs, program integrity, and equal employment opportunity matters.
Prior to Mr. Lippold’s appointment, he served as the Executive Program Director of OPM’s Federal Investigative Services. As a principal advisor to the Associate Director, Mr. Lippold provided management and oversight of financial management operations with a budget of over $1 billion. Mr. Lippold was also responsible for performance management and reporting, and administrative activities. From 2009 – 2011, Mr. Lippold served as the Assistant Director, Finance and Budget, Chief Financial Officer, and principal advisor to the Chairman of the Recovery Accountability and Transparency Board on all financial matters, including the overall planning, direction, and timely execution of financial and budget operations and programs. From 2001 – 2009, Mr. Lippold served the Inspector General for the Department of the Interior in various capacities where he coordinated solutions to problems and issues that extended OIG-wide and provided critical advice on major management matters, including issues of importance to Congress and the news media.
Mr. Lippold holds a Masters of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Finance, and a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Management from the University of North Texas. He is married and has three children.
