What We Do

Rarely will two days at the DoD Cyber Crime Center (DC3) ever be the same. We’ll challenge you to bring all your technical skills to bear in solving the most demanding cyber problems our nation faces. The kinds of responsibilities we handle include:

  • Uncovering the details behind large-scale intrusions and analyzing high-profile espionage cases
  • Developing new forensic techniques to keep pace with the ever-changing computer world
  • Analyzing and deconstructing malicious code
  • Providing American Society of Crime Lab Directors (ASCLD) accredited digital and multimedia forensics in support of criminal, counterintelligence, intrusion and safety activities in the DoD and other government agencies
  • Supporting DoD law enforcement agents with criminal cases involving sex offenses, narcotics, fraud, death, and larceny
  • Recovering/repairing damaged computer media
  • Providing testimony in military criminal cases
  • Designing and delivering cutting-edge advanced digital and multimedia forensic curricula
