About Us

We Don't Serve Teens is a national campaign to prevent underage drinking. The Federal Trade Commission, the nation's consumer protection agency, prepared and maintains www.DontServeTeens.gov. It is supported by a coalition of public and private organizations and has been recognized by the United States Senate, the United States House of Representatives, the National Conference of State Liquor Administrators, and representatives of more than 40 states. Some of the organizations that promote the We Don’t Serve Teens program include:

U.S. Department of the Treasury Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau
The Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) is the bureau within the Department of the Treasury that collects alcohol, tobacco, firearms, and ammunition excise taxes and enforces laws regarding the labeling, advertising, and marketing of alcohol.
The National Alcohol Beverage Control Association
The National Alcohol Beverage Control Association (NABCA) is the national association representing the states and local governments that directly control the distribution and sale of beverage alcohol within their borders, typically by acting as wholesalers or retailers. NABCA's mission is to support and benefit alcohol control systems by providing research, fostering relationships, and managing resources to promote the responsible sale and consumption of alcohol beverages.
The National Conference of State Liquor Administrators
The National Conference of State Liquor Administrators (NCSLA) is the national association representing state liquor license officials. NCSLA promotes the enactment and enforcement of effective and equitable state alcoholic beverage control laws and harmonious administration of alcohol beverage controls laws among states and between states and the federal government.
National Liquor Law Enforcement Association
The National Liquor Law Enforcement Association (NLLEA) is a non-profit association of U.S. and Canadian alcohol law enforcement personnel. NLLEA is committed to improving the standards and practices of liquor law enforcement, to enhancing understanding of the importance of liquor law enforcement in preventing crime and community problems, and to fostering cooperative relationships among alcohol research and public health organizations and the alcohol industry.
National Consumers League
The National Consumers League (NCL) is a private, nonprofit advocacy group representing consumers on marketplace and workplace issues. Its mission is to protect and promote social and economic justice for consumers and workers in the United States and abroad. NCL is the nation's oldest consumer organization. It provides government, businesses, and other organizations with the consumer's perspective on concerns including child labor, privacy, food safety, and medication information
Students Against Destructive Decisions
Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD), formerly Students Against Driving Drunk, is committed to empowering young people to lead education and prevention initiatives in their schools and communities. SADD is the nation's dominant peer-to-peer youth education and prevention organization with thousands of chapters in middle schools, high schools and colleges.
National Organizations for Youth Safety
The National Organizations for Youth Safety (NOYS) is a network of national organizations and federal agencies that serve youth and focus on youth safety and health. Its missions are to promote youth empowerment and leadership and to build partnerships that will save lives, prevent injuries, and promote safe and healthy lifestyles among all youth. NOYS members represent over 80 million youth and adults.
The Responsible Retailing Forum
The Responsible Retailing Forum (RRF) is a non-profit organization that seeks to identify and promulgate best practices to prevent underage sales of age-restricted products, and to examine the impacts of these policies from the perspectives of regulatory and enforcement agencies, attorneys general, public health agencies and advocates, retailers, distributors, producers and researchers.
Beer Institute
The Beer Institute represents the brewing industry and its suppliers before Congress, regulatory agencies, and the public. Beer wholesalers and brewers team with parents, educators, law enforcement officials, and others to implement programs that help prevent underage access and illegal underage drinking.
The Distilled Spirits Council
The Distilled Spirits Council is the national trade association representing America's leading distillers. It serves as the distillers' voice on policy and legislative issues before the national and state capitals and works with public and private organizations at the federal, state, and local level to support dedicated efforts to help fight alcohol abuse.
The Century Council
The Century Council (TCC) fights underage drinking through a variety of educational and public awareness campaigns, such as "Ask, Listen, Learn: Kids and Alcohol Don't Mix," and the "National Prom/Graduation Safety Month Campaign." TCC is funded by America's leading distillers.
Wine and Spirits Wholesalers of America
The Wine and Spirits Wholesalers of America (WSWA) is a national trade association consisting of 360 wine and spirits wholesalers and brokers whose members operate in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. WSWA supports state and federal legislation, regulation, and public policies that promote the responsible distribution of beverage alcohol and the prevention of underage access.
American Beverage Licensees
The American Beverage Licensees (ABL) is a national trade association representing nearly 20,000 small businesses that are licensed to sell beverage alcohol for consumption on-premise (restaurants and bars) and off-premise (package stores).
Wine and Spirits Guild of America
The Wine and Spirits Guild of America is comprised of independent alcohol retailers and multi-location, intra-state chains, doing business from New York to Alaska and Hawaii. The Wine and Spirits Guild is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of responsible alcoholic beverage retailing, and to promoting responsible consumption.
World Association of the Alcohol Beverage Industries, Inc.
Since 1944, the World Association of the Alcohol Beverage Industries, Inc. (WAABI) has mobilized all segments of the alcohol beverage industry to work together on charitable and educational programs. WAABI’s goals are to prevent underage drinking, prevent drunk driving, promote social responsibility, and to serving its members communities.
