Job Opportunities at the Academy
The U.S. Coast Guard Academy is a highly selective federal service academy providing a rigorous undergraduate curriculum in addition to a comprehensive military training program to prepare young women and men for careers as commissioned officers in the U.S. Coast Guard, well-known for its humanitarian missions.

The Academy employs approximately 250 civilians in positions such as educators, athletic coaches, administrative support, laborers, instructional systems specialists, library technicians, electricians, engineers, and much more. Women and minorities are strongly encouraged to apply for employment. The Academy prides itself in maintaining, developing, and promoting a community of inclusion that embodies a representative cross section of the United States. It is our belief that gender, racial, ethnic, and religious diversity is critical to the professional and personal development of future Coast Guard officers as well as the entire Academy community.
