| Personnel Accountability
In the event of a disaster or emergency situation, personnel accountability in the area affected by the crisis, may be required by installation Commanders or DoD Components. Personnel accountability is critical in assessing needs and determining the status of DoD personnel, including civilian employees. All civilian employees should be familiar with their installation, organization or Component methods of “reporting-in” when personnel accountability is announced. Employees should also ensure their emergency contact information is updated annually on DD Form 93. This form is maintained by the supervisor and used only during an emergency situation to expedite notification of an employee’s status to individuals identified by the employee as appropriate contacts.
