Basic Award: The Graduate College of the University of Arizona will guarantee 2 years of full base tuition (in-state or out-of-state) for AmeriCorps and VISTA members completing a full year of service in the University of Arizona Cooperative Extension VISTA or AmeriCorps project. The tuition award excludes miscellaneous fees (such as the recreation center fee, health center fee, student health insurance, etc.) and differential fees, program fees or course fees. These must be paid for by the individual. All eligible members must also complete the Federal Student Aid application.

Eligibility: Tuition awards will be extended to any AmeriCorps or VISTA member who works for a University of Arizona AmeriCorps or VISTA program and who attains regular graduate standing and is admitted to a graduate program at the University of Arizona. Graduate programs at the UA law school, medical school and the Outreach College are not eligible for this award, however.

Length of Offer: VISTA and AmeriCorps members who successfully complete their year of service and who are eligible for this benefit must enroll in graduate school within 5 (five) years of completing their national service.
