NCI has produced and collaborated on several reports that address the special challenges facing adolescents and young adults with cancer. NCI partnered with the Lance Armstrong Foundation to conduct a Progress Review Group to address the research and cancer care needs of patients in this age group. Recommendations for a national agenda to improve cancer prevention, early detection, diagnosis, treatment, and outcomes among this age group were made. - Closing the Gap: Research and Care Imperatives for Adolescents and Young Adults with Cancer
This comprehensive report from the Adolescent and Young Adult Oncology Progress Review Group (PRG) is a collaborative effort between NCI and the Lance Armstrong Foundation. It outlines recommendations for improving the outcomes for adolescents and young adults with cancer. - Closing the Gap: A Strategic Plan
This action plan includes recommendations for improving the outcomes and quality of life for adolescents and young adults with cancer and was created by the LIVESTRONG Young Adult Alliance (LSYAA) and NCI. - Living Beyond Cancer: Finding a New Balance
This report from the President's Cancer Panel describes cancer survivorship issues using a life span approach. Issues common to all survivors are identified as well as challenges specific to those diagnosed as children (ages 0-14 years), adolescents and young adults (ages 15-29 years), adults (30-59 years of age), and older adults (ages 60 and older).

This workshop focused on acute lymphoblastic leukemia, as well as breast and colorectal cancers.
