They make snow for about 31% of their mountain using 555 snow guns and 2 to 3 million gallons of water a day. That is a lot of water....think about 2 to 3 million milk jugs full of water! And they do it all for you; to enjoy the winter season skiing or snowboarding when mother nature doesn't provide snow for us.

IDAHO FUN FACT OF THE WEEK!

The world's first alpine skiing chairlift was (and still is) located in Sun Valley. Built by Union Pacific Railroad engineers, it was designed after a banana-boat loading device. In 1936 the fee was only 25 cents per ride!

Join us 9 November for our Winter Sports Expo to find out more about Sun Valley. They are one of many vendors who will attend the event to provide you with all your winter needs!
