The Census Bureau will hold a Web conference to discuss the Sept. 20 release of 2011 American Community Survey estimates. The webinar will include guidance on how to access and use the upcoming one-year estimates and a question-and-answer session. Embargo subscribers will have access to the estimates beginning Tuesday, Sept. 18.

The American Community Survey produces estimates for numerous social, economic and housing characteristics including language, education, commuting, employment, mortgage status and rent, as well as income, poverty and health insurance. Estimates will be available for the nation, all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, every congressional district, every metropolitan area, and all counties and places with populations of 65,000 or more.

The Web conference will consist of a simultaneous audio conference and online presentation. Reporters will be able to ask questions once the presentation is complete.
