Who is more likely to experience force used against them during contact with police? Males (1.8%) were more likely than females (1.0%) to have force used or threatened against them during their most recent contact with police during 2008. Blacks (3.4%) were more likely than whites (1.2%) or Hispanics (1.6%) to experience use or threat of force in 2008. Individuals between the ages of 16 and 29 were more likely than those age 30 or older to experience contact that resulted in force or the threat of force in 2008. |
