Hosting Service Academy Night

Next Wednesday, my office will hold Service Academy Night at the University of Notre Dame’s Eck Visitors Center. Students and their families will have the opportunity to speak with representatives and obtain information about pursuing a nomination to attend one of the following service academies: Army, Navy, Air Force, Merchant Marines, and Coast Guard. Students will also have the opportunity to ask questions about student life and the admissions process as well as meet Congressman Donnelly’s Nomination Committee.

Students will also be provided with information on the opportunities to pursue a career as an officer in the Armed Forces through the Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC). Representatives of each branch of ROTC will be present to offer guidance and answer questions.

Offering Help to Constituents

As your representative in Congress, I am here to help you in any way possible. My staff and I are happy to help if you are having problems with your Social Security, Medicare, Veterans' Benefits, or other federal matters. My office can assist you and provide you with helpful information.

Presenting the Bronze Star with “V” Device to Rick and Bill Horvath for their father Carl, a World War II veteran. I was pleased my office was able to help the Horvaths obtain the medals Carl earned during his service.

My office has been able to help many Hoosiers in the 2nd District get the benefits and aid they deserve. I am proud of all the success stories that my office has. For more information on how I can help you, please visit my website.

Supporting Team USA at the Paralympics

This week, the 2012 Paralympics officially began in London. The state of Indiana is well represented on Team USA, with seven Hoosiers participating in the Games. I am proud of Dalton Herendeen of Elkhart, who will be swimming for Team USA. Good luck to all the athletes, and I hope they win gold.

Thank you again for reading The Donnelly Dispatch. Please do not hesitate to contact me with your feedback or if I can ever be of assistance to you. I value your views, and your input helps me to better represent the people of Indiana's Second District in Congress.

Sincerely,

Congressman Joe Donnelly
