South Bend, Ind. – Today, Congressman Joe Donnelly announced he will host his Second Annual Job Fair in South Bend on Tuesday, August 16, 2011. This event is designed to provide those in north central Indiana looking for work with an opportunity to connect with employers and those considering higher education with an opportunity to connect with representatives from local educational institutions and retraining programs.
“Getting Hoosiers back to work is my top priority in Congress,” said Donnelly. “That’s why I’m hosting my Second Annual Job Fair in South Bend. At my job fair, those looking for work can interact with employers and those considering additional training can talk with representatives from educational institutions and retraining programs in the area.”
In July, Congressman Donnelly hosted a Job Seeker Workshop to provide those looking for a job with an opportunity to learn from experts about how to improve their resumes, enhance their interview skills, and market their strengths to employers. Resources from the Job Seeker Workshop are available on Congressman Donnelly’s website.
Congressman Donnelly’s Second Annual Job Fair is free and open to the public with no RSVP required. Businesses interested in participating can email Donnelly.JobFair@mail.house.gov for more information.
