Washington, D.C. - Today, Congressman Joe Donnelly attended the welcoming ceremony at the White House for Pope Benedict XVI.
“I attended this ceremony in order to offer the best wishes and show the respect of the people of Indiana’s Second District to Pope Benedict,” Donnelly said. “It was moving and powerful to hear Pope Benedict speak of peace and reconciliation throughout the world.”
Donnelly, who is a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in South Bend, will also attend the Papal Mass on Thursday in Washington.
