The National 911 Program Submits 2011 Report to Congress

The National 911 Program provides national leadership and coordination of stakeholder efforts to develop comprehensive and technologically enhanced 911 services. It is housed within the Office of Emergency Medical Services at the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration -- part of the U.S. Department of Transportation. In a report dated December 21, 2011, the activities of the National 911 Program during Fiscal Year 2011 were shared with multiple Congressional representatives, including:

  • The Co-Chairs of the E911 Caucus
  • The President, Majority Leader and Minority Leader of the Senate
  • The Chairman and Ranking Member of the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation
  • The Speaker and Republican Leader of the House of Representatives
  • The Chairman and Ranking Member of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce
  • The Chairman and Ranking Member of the House Subcommittee on Communications, Technology, and the Internet
  • The Chairman and Ranking Member of the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure
