Internships
Congressman Berg’s offices welcome the assistance of volunteers who wish to experience the inner workings of a congressional office. An internship with one of Congressman Berg’s offices gives young men and women a unique opportunity to become a part of the political process. The program is designed to give interns valuable experience in communication, legislative, constituent and administrative work. You can expect to work closely with staff members on North Dakota issues, assist in researching legislation, and serve as guides on Capitol tours. Interns working in Washington also have the chance to attend committee hearings and other congressional meetings and events.
We urge candidates to file their applications early. Congressman Berg’s office internship program offers three sessions: the Spring Session runs from January until May; the Summer Session runs from June through August; and the Fall Session runs from September through December. Preference will be given to North Dakota residents, and we encourage all applicants to submit up until the last day!
