Operation: Military Child Care

Family Child Care Parent posterThe National Association of Child Care Resource and Referral Agencies offers the Operation: Military Child Care program. Families/legal guardians of the children of National Guard & Reserve members who are currently activated/deployed are eligible for the OMCC program. NACCRRA helps by assisting with locating licensed child care options in communities and providing a fee subsidy. Families are eligible to participate during the period of the Airmen's deployment and for 60 days after returning home. In addition, a child care subsidy can be provided for 60 days while a non-military spouse is looking for work. More information can be found at http://www.naccrra.org/MilitaryPrograms/

Returning Home Care

The AF Returning Home Care program offers no cost child care following a deployment of 30 days or longer. Air Force Reserve and Air National Guard members are able to receive 16 hours of free child care per child in the HCC Provider's home. AFR/ANG members at active duty installations may use on base FCC homes through the extended duty care program to receive this same service.

Severely Injured Program

National Association of Child Care Resource and Referral Agency (NACCRRA) offers child care assistance for Airmen who have been injured and are receiving in-patient or out-patient care for extended periods through the Severely Injured Program. Through this program, NACCRRA offers assistance to find and pay for quality child care for six months. The six-month period begins on the date of initial hospital admittance and may be extended contingent upon physician reassessment. The Severely Injured program is available wherever the military member's children are residing or where the member is receiving care. More information can be found at http://www.naccrra.org/MilitaryPrograms
