LEXINGTON, Ky. -- More than $30 million now is in the hands of Kentuckians affected by May's severe storms and flooding. Two months after President Obama declared Kentucky eligible for federal disaster assistance:
LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Monday, July 12, is the last day Kentuckians who were affected by the severe storms and flooding of early May can register for disaster assistance from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Registration is simple. You can apply online anytime at www.DisasterAssistance.gov, or by phone at 800-621-FEMA (3362), TTY 800-462-7585. Phone lines are open every day from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. EDT.
