Paratroopers assigned to the @[185124454857165:274:4th Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division]'s Company B, @[184336998243122:274:3rd Battalion, 509th Parachute Infantry Regiment] fire the Carl Gustaf recoilless rifle system at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, Nov. 1, 2016. The Carl Gustaf is a man-portable, breach-loading, 84mm recoilless rifle capable of destroying armored targets from up to 700 meters away. The paratroopers conducted live fire training to hone their proficiency.

That's just what 734th Ordnance Company (EOD) Soldiers are doing at Fort Bliss during Army Warfighter Assessment 17.1 -- they're putting counter-IED robots through their paces.

The AWA is the Chief of Staff of the Army's annual capstone exercise that is a multi-echelon training exercises which includes joint and multinational forces in live, virtual and constructive domains.
