National Protection and Programs Directorate Infrastructure Analysis and Strategy Division Director Brandon Wales addresses the nature of the threat posed by electromagnetic pulse (EMP) to the nation and its critical infrastructure, including its cyber, communications, and electric-grid assets, as well as to discuss the Department of Homeland Security’s preparations to respond to and recover from potential EMP attacks.
