BALTIMORE, Md. -- residents have received almost $100 million in disaster aid since September 19, when the state was declared a federal disaster area due to Hurricane Isabel.
BALTIMORE, Md. -- Hours of operation for the toll-free Helpline serving Marylanders affected by Hurricane Isabel have changed. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) announced today that the new hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Individuals who have applied for disaster assistance from FEMA and have questions about their application may call the FEMA Helpline at 1-800-621-FEMA (3362), or TTY 1-800-462-7585 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.
BALTIMORE, Md. -- The Baltimore County Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) in Essex will end operations at 5 p.m. Monday, December 15; state and federal officials want residents to know that help is still just a phone call away. The Baltimore County DRC is located in the Back River Neck Community Center County, 801 Back River Neck Rd, in Essex. Hours of operation are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday – Saturday, December 13. The Center will be closed on Sunday and reopen for the last day, Monday, December 15, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Permanent Work (Categories C-G): Work that is required to restore a damaged facility, through repair or restoration, to its pre-disaster design, function, and capacity in accordance with applicable codes and standards
*Dollars Approved: Assistance dollars approved but not necessarily disbursed.
*Dollars Obligated: Funds made available to the State via electronic transfer following FEMA's final review and approval of Public Assistance projects.
