Come for the sand, stay for the science. See my new spot & the sampling activity I've got in store [video] http://bit.ly/SPku7Z
From chemist to explorer to mayor, I am one busy bot. Just became the mayor of Mars' Gale Crater on @foursquare http://4sq.com/QLh1uc
The Right Scuff: Here's the hazcam view of the sandy stuff I'm inspecting at the Rocknest site http://twitpic.com/b1ayl7
Dig this: I'm getting ready to use my scoop & sampling system for the first time [Info & gallery] http://1.usa.gov/PU6nia
I just unlocked the "Newbie" badge on @foursquare for checking in for the first time! http://4sq.com/O8e7iR

Mars is cool, but it's getting "Hottah." That's the outcrop I found in an ancient Mars streambed [3-D pic] http://1.usa.gov/QIyYJM

Not "buts" about it. Typos happen. <blush>
Mars, you've really got a hold on me. On sol 52, I used visual odometry to drive, assess & adjust for any wheel slippage.
Orbiter, lander & rover data have shown water ice & hydrated minerals on Mars. Water is the most likely fluid to have made the streambed
1st time we've seen evidence of gravel transported by water on Mars. Here's how it worked [video] http://bit.ly/UTJZKZ
