The USPTO is a sham... The USPTO which should not be operated by the Dept. of Commerce is a scam that steals from the poor and middle class and encourages IP theft from them as well.. Here's how: Ever seen the movie: "A Flash of Genius"...? Well, you will never hear of a real life feel good story like that again... You see, to start with, patents are getting harder to get. And the ones that are obtained are getting weaker... Nearly all successful inventions have not just one, but several patents... The only people who can afford to adaquately protect their inventions are the rich and corporations... Meanwhile, the system encourages IP theft from the poor and middle class because 1 patent doesn't do anything but teach competitors your idea so they can easily design around the claims... This is no accident by the PTO... They just care about making money... The harder it is to get a patent, the more money they make... And the weaker a patent is, the more money they make.. It's all about filing more patent applications, and continued examination fees... I vow to expose the scam, sham, and farse of the PTO... More than anything else in my life now... It means more to me than anything.. Anybody who works for the PTO should be ashamed of themselves.

OMG how in the earth did you guys allowed Apple to patent some basic and specific touch gestures / features? Didn't you see that it's only help Apple to manipulate the market? It's like someone in the past patented the "click on some word/image/object to open a website / program" and now everyone would be using some weird workaround to use a computer. Come one.
