Governor Jindal, UPS Midstream Services Announce $3.9 Million Capital Investment, 95 New Jobs in Central Louisiana Today, Governor Bobby Jindal and UPS Midstream Services Inc. announced the company plans to invest more than $3.9 million in Jena to construct and develop a new full-service machine facility to provide welding, fabrication, and equipment overhaul and repair. UPS’s facility will create 95 new direct jobs paying an average salary of more than $73,000, plus benefits. LED estimates the project will result in an additional 121 new indirect jobs, for a total of more than 200 new jobs in the Central Louisiana region.

Governor Jindal, Standard Crane Announce New Manufacturing Facility in Terrebonne Parish Today, Governor Bobby Jindal and Standard Crane & Hoist President Mac Hadden announced the opening of the company’s new manufacturing facility in Gray. Standard Crane & Hoist LLC made a capital investment of $1.1 million to build the 12,600-square-foot crane manufacturing facility, which will result in 19 new direct jobs with an average salary of $41,500, plus benefits, and 27 indirect jobs, for a total of more than 40 new jobs in the area.
Governor Jindal Breaks Ground on Veterans Cemetery in Slidell Governor Bobby Jindal spoke at a groundbreaking ceremony today for the new Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Slidell. The new cemetery location will provide for the needs of approximately 100,000 veterans and their families who reside in and around Southeast Louisiana.
