BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- Only one day remains for Iroquois and Livingston County residents to register for federal disaster assistance. The application period closes tomorrow, May 6, for homeowners, renters and business owners who had damage from the severe storms and flooding Jan. 7 through March 14. ?President Bush issued a major disaster declaration for the two Illinois counties on March 7 and the application period ends 60 days from that date.
BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- Federal disaster assistance totals for eligible Iroquois and Livingston County residents topped $8.3 million last night with just a few days left until the May 6 registration deadline.
BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- Federal officials have approved more than $8 million in grants and loans for Iroquois and Livingston county residents who had damage from the severe storms and flooding Jan. 7 through March 14. However, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) officials stress that less than two weeks remains to apply for assistance.
