TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Federal and state officials overseeing north Florida's disaster recovery from the severe storms and flooding of late March through early May urge all registered applicants to stay in touch throughout the recovery process. Officials with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the State Emergency Response Team say this is especially important as disaster-related insurance claims are settled and contact information changes. The deadline for registering for disaster assistance is 7 p.m. Monday, June 29.
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Nearly 1,300 north Floridians have registered for federal-state disaster assistance following the storms and flooding of late-March through early May and there are still a few days left for others to do the same. June 29 is the deadline to apply for disaster assistance.
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Nearly $5.4 million in Public Assistance funds has been approved to help repair and rebuild infrastructure in the wake of severe storms between March 26 and May 5, according to State Emergency Response Team and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
