GLOBE Science Overview

The cornerstone of GLOBE is the collection of research-quality environmental measurements collected by students all over the world.

GLOBE students and other volunteer observers make significant contributions to understanding Earth by measuring the global environment and assisting with meaningful research.

GLOBE Investigations

GLOBE is focused on the entire Earth System. The GLOBE community collects data and explores all spheres of Earth. Investigation Areas are organized by Earth spheres and provide teachers and students resources for collecting data and learning more through classroom activities.

Field Campaigns

GLOBE Field Campaigns are worldwide or regional projects that provide student research experiences to explore and learn about Earth through a network of students, teachers and scientists. GLOBE field campaigns are grounded in real science embedded in an inquiry-based, collaborative approach to learning.
