GLOBE Trainers

GLOBE Trainers are certified to train teachers in various scientific protocols and educational learning activities. The certification process includes the candidate trainer carrying out a teacher training session, observed and mentored by a GLOBE Master Trainer. An online assessment by the Master Trainer on the candidate trainer's performance is reviewed by the appropriate Country Coordinator, GLOBE Regional Board, or the GLOBE Program Office. GLOBE International Master Trainers

GLOBE Master Trainers are certified to train GLOBE Trainers in various scientific protocols and educational learning activities. The certification process includes the candidate master trainer assisting a Master Trainer during a training session followed by the candidate master trainer leading the training session, observed and mentored by a GLOBE Master Trainer. An online assessment by the Master Trainer on the candidate trainer's performance is reviewed by the appropriate Country Coordinator, GLOBE Regional Board, or the GLOBE Program Office. Trainer Collaboration

Collaboration during a training session can provide multiple benefits to all involved: teachers are exposed to the same or similar content provided by different trainers and are able to envision how they can then collaborate at their schools sharing GLOBE activities; trainers are engaged in team building along with collaboration and are able to view different trainers in action, providing them with the unique opportunity to evaluate their own methodologies, based on viewing those of their colleagues. Additionally, trainers who work together at several training sessions often find that they begin to build a GLOBE training relationship, able to anticipate the flow of training and how to build on each other's comments throughout the training session.
