Victim Services
If you or someone you love is a victim of crime-you have rights and you can get help. Help is available in the form of compensation and assistance. Compensation programs reimburse victims for crime-related expenses, such as medical costs, mental health counseling, funeral and burial costs, and lost wages or loss of support. Assistance programs provide a range of services, including crisis intervention, counseling, emergency shelter, criminal justice advocacy, and emergency transportation. The Directory of Crime Victim Services provides information on non-emergency crime victim services in the United States and abroad.
