Home to Jaguar, a Cray XK6 with a peak speed of 2.33 petaflops, the Oak Ridge Leadership Computing Facility provides an ideal platform for advances in numerous domains, from climate change to materials to fusion to astrophysics, to name a few.

NCRC Resources

The National Climate Research Center is home to Gaea, a Cray XT6 supercomputer that is ranked among the world’s most powerful for climate simulations. Funded by NOAA and operated by DOE, the petascale system is housed at Oak Ridge National Laboratory.
