The Department of Environment and Conservation is responsible for the protection and enhancement of the environment, management of the province’s wildlife, water and parks. The Department is also leading Government’s response to climate change and the Sustainable Development initiatives.
The former Department of Environment and Conservation and the Office of Climate Change and Energy Efficiency are now part of the new Department of Environment and Climate Change. This
change was
announced on August 17, 2016.
