Gov. Haley Barbour today announced the appointment of attorney M. Ronald Doleac of Hattiesburg as Chancellor of the 10th Chancery Court District, Place 4. Doleac replaces Chancellor Gene Fair, whom Gov. Barbour recently appointed to the Mississippi Court of Appeals. read more.

MISSISSIPPI MUST REPAY FEDERAL GOVERNMENT IN MEDICAID LEGAL SETTLEMENT

NEW STATE CAR TAG UNVEILED ON FIRST MISSISSIPPI-MADE TOYOTA COROLLA
Mississippi's musical heritage is highlighted on the state's new car tag design, which was revealed today by Gov. Haley Barbour and Toyota president and CEO Akio Toyoda. The men attached the new license plate, featuring B.B. Gov. Haley Barbour declared today as Toyota Arbor Day to celebrate the opening of the car manufacturer's Blue Springs plant and its commitment to the environment and Mississippi. GOV. BARBOUR CELEBRATES AS FIRST MISSISSIPPI-MADE TOYOTA COROLLA ROLLS OFF LINE
Gov. Haley Barbour, Toyota Motor Corporation President and Chief Executive Officer Akio Toyoda and other Toyota, state and local officials gathered today at the Blue Springs plant to celebrate the start of production of the Corolla. Approximately 1,500 workers are currently employed at the plant, which is known as Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Mississippi (TMMMS). Once production is fully underway, Toyota's Blue Springs facility will employ 2,000 people, with another 2,000 employed in supplier facilities in the state. read more.
