CLINTON, Miss. -- Today is the last day for survivors of the April 23-24 Mississippi tornadoes and severe storms to register for state and federal assistance. People in eight disaster-affected counties can register by calling 800-621-FEMA (3362) or TTY 800-462-7585 for the speech and hearing impaired. Phone lines are open daily from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., and help is available in all languages. Online registrations can be submitted to www.disasterassistance.gov.
