Critical Infrastructure Protection

Members of the Emergency Service Sector (ESS) of the Nation are encouraged to receive critical infrastructure protection (CIP) information from the Emergency Management and Response Information Sharing and Analysis Center (EMR-ISAC) in the form of the following documents:

1. InfoGrams. Contain four very short articles about the protection of the critical infrastructures of communities and their emergency responders issued at the end of each week.

2. CIP Bulletins. Contain timely, consequential homeland security information affecting the CIP of emergency management and response agencies published periodically as needed.

Receive Infograms and Bulletins by Email

Police, fire, EMS, HazMat, 9-1-1, and emergency management personnel currently occupying leadership positions in their respective departments and agencies who subscribe for EMR-ISAC CIP information will additionally receive:

3. CIP (FOUO) Notices. Contain emergent, actionable information For Official Use Only (FOUO) regarding threats to and vulnerabilities of ESS critical infrastructures.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) particularly requires the EMR-ISAC to expeditiously disseminate CIP (FOUO) information to the validated ESS leadership throughout the Nation for planning and operations purposes. Forwarded periodically, the FOUO information will be electronically communicated through a dedicated secure portal within the DisasterHelp.gov website.

Please contact the EMR-ISAC at emr-isac@fema.dhs.gov or the EMR-ISAC office at (301) 447-1325 if you have questions or concerns about this important initiative.
