Welcome to HQ US Africa Command, Directorate of Command, Control, Communications and Computer Systems (J6). The J6 Directorate is currently located on Kelley Barracks, in Stuttgart, Germany. Our Directorate is involved in a multitude of communications efforts here at the Headquarters, in England and on the African Continent.  We support multiple engagement activities with our African partners and host the annual African Endeavor Communications Interoperability Exercise.  

Mission

The J6 Directorate provides command, control, communications and computer systems (C4S) necessary to prevent conflict, respond to crises and conduct military operations in the African area of responsibility. The J6 develops and directs US Africa Command C4S strategy, plans and programs to deliver world-class information and computer services to meet the evolving needs of our customers and partners.  Integrates War-fighting capabilities and constructs architectures to ensure information superiority.  Operates and defends US and coalition networks and ensures international interoperability and fields emerging technologies supporting Theater Security Cooperation.
