The top export categories (2-digit HS) for 2011 were: Aircraft ($2.9 billion), Iron and Steel ($2.5 billion), Mineral Fuel (oil) ($2.1 billion) Cotton Yarn and Fabric ($1.2 billion), and Machinery ($952 million).

U.S. exports of agricultural products to Turkey totaled $2.5 billion in 2011, the 10th largest U.S. Ag export market. Leading categories include: cotton ($1.2 billion), wheat ($238 million), tree nuts ($226 million), and live animals ($209 million).

Imports

Turkey was the United States' 45th largest supplier of goods imports in 2011.

U.S. goods imports from Turkey totaled $5.2 billion in 2011, up 24.1% ($1.0 billion) from 2010, and up 72% from 2000.

The top 5 imports categories (2-digit HS) for 2011 were: Vehicles ($662 million), Machinery ($544 million), Iron and Steel ($401 million), Stone, Plaster, Cement (Travertine and Marble) ($280 million), and Iron and Steel Products ($220 million).

U.S. imports of agricultural products from Turkey totaled $497 million in 2011. Leading categories include: processed fruit and vegetables ($149 million), tobacco ($106 million), and snack foods ($89 million).
