3/30/10—Ohio Woman Pleads Guilty to Possessing Child Pornography

Kendra L. Sasser, 33, received a 20-month sentence for enticing a 16-year old boy to create child pornography. The Miami Valley RCFL (MVRCFL) supported the investigation which began in 2007 when her husband contacted authorities to report her for exchanging illicit photographs and having sexually charged online chats with a minor. She had been in contact with the teenager for several weeks and mainly communicated with him via MySpace. Ms. Sasser was arrested on September 25, 2007 at her home and placed on home detention for nearly two years.

On March 23, 2010, Ms. Sasser plead guilty to one count of possessing child pornography, which could have landed her in federal prison for 10 years. However, the judge recommended she go to a camp facility—taking her lack of a criminal history into account. The MVRCFL examined Sasser's X-Box, cellular telephone, and computers. According to the complaint filed against her, she used XBox LIVE to entice the boy to produce images and videos of himself.

Possessing child pornography is a federal offense—to report it, contact your local police department of FBI office.
