This bipartisan legislation, authored by Reps. Daniel Lipinski (D-IL) and Adam Kinzinger (R-IL), will develop a plan to help promote job growth and make American manufacturing more competitive.

WASHINGTON, DC – The Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Energy and Power today held a legislative hearing to discuss H.R. 4255, the “Accountability in Grants Act,” which would prohibit the EPA from awarding grants under Section 103 of the Clean Air Act for foreign projects. Since 2001, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has awarded grants to foreign recipients totaling over $100 million under Section 103 and other authorities.
WASHINGTON, DC – The House of Representatives today approved H.R. 6131, a bill to reauthorize the SAFE WEB Act of 2006. The Act, set to expire next year, has become an extremely effective tool used by the Federal Trade Commission to combat cross-border fraud, spam, and spyware. Commerce, Manufacturing, and Trade Subcommittee Chairman Mary Bono Mack (R-CA) and Ranking Member Rep. G.K. Butterfield (D-NC) introduced H.R. 6131 to extend this important consumer protection law for another seven years.
