Commerce Under Secretary Francisco SÁnchez Delivers Remarks at U.S.-China Business Forum
Highlights the importance of the expanding U.S.-China economic relationship in global economy
WASHINGTON – Francisco Sánchez, Under Secretary of Commerce for International Trade, delivered remarks today at the U.S.-China Business Forum in Washington. Sánchez highlighted the importance of the U.S.-China economic relationship, and its impact on the global economy, at the event hosted by the U.S.-China Business Council, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
“The American and Chinese economies are now the two largest in the world, and our discussions on global commerce make a difference,” Sánchez said. He also noted that both countries need to adapt their policies to meet the needs of the changing global economic landscape. These changes may require mutual cooperation to resolve “potential areas of conflict that could affect the larger relationship between our two countries.”
