Local Man Arrested in Manchester After Foot Pursuit

Concord, NH - Today the U.S. Marshals New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force is pleased to announce the arrest of Brandon Legere, 29, of Manchester, NH. Members of the taskforce, Manchester Police Department, and the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Department participated in the arrest. Legere was wanted for violating the conditions of his supervised release while on probation.

Deputies developed information that Legere was living with someone on Wilson St. in Manchester. When the deputies attempted to arrest Legere at the Wilson St. address, he fled out another door. Deputies radioed for back up from Manchester Police and Hillsborough County Sherriff while they began to search for Legere. Numerous officers and a K-9 unit assisted in the search for Legere throughout the surrounding neighborhoods. Legere concealed himself in several locations during the pursuit. Several witnesses provided law enforcement with information about Legere’s direction of travel. Legere was apprehended when he ran into two marked Manchester Police Department cruisers. Legere was brought to U.S. District Court in Concord to be seen by a judge. The judge detained him pending further hearings, and additional charges may be pending from his attempt to evade capture.

The U.S Marshals Service is the nation’s oldest law enforcement agency. U.S. Marshals annually capture more federal fugitives than all other federal law enforcement combined.
