GI FILM FESTIVAL
The Pentagon Channel has teamed up with the annual GI Film Festival to produce a movie night for its viewers in a two-hour block of feature and short films each week. The GI Film Festival is a nonprofit educational organization dedicated to sharing the military experience in and out of the arena of war. The two-hour block starts on the days and times below (all times Eastern)

Between Iraq and a Hard Place
Our U.S. troops come home from war and take off their uniforms and blend into society. But the war hasn't ended for them. How can we help them transition? Learn what they think, feel and experience during war through interviews backed up with their personal video footage shot in Iraq. If we understand what our troops really think and feel, we can better help them.

Frank and Rose, a young married couple during World War II, have been separated for years while Frank was off in the war. Today he returns, but the homecoming is bittersweet as they must first deal with the loss of their only son before they can continue as a couple.
From Philadelphia to Fallujah
A documentary commemorating ten years since attacks of September 11th by paying tribute to the 2001 Army-Navy football game. This film looks back at that historic game and chronicles the journeys of some of its players who dedicated themselves to this country by answering a simple question. Where are they ten years later? These are compelling journeys – sometimes with tragic endings, other times with auspicious new beginnings.

The Red Machine
Washington, DC, 1935: At the height of the Great Depression, a charming and irrepressible young thief is forced to help an icy and mysterious United States Navy spy steal a brand new device that the Japanese military is using to encode its top-secret messages. During the mission, which is complicated by the spy's dark past in Tokyo, the two discover that they are pawns in a larger game.

He's My Best Friend: The Crystal Nicely Story
Marine Corporal Todd Nicely was injured in Afghanistan in March 2010 and most people did not expect him to survive. He became one of only three men to survive as a quadruple amputee. His wife Crystal's first reaction when she walked through the hospital door was "Okay, he's still alive. He's still with me." Crystal, a retired Marine, knew it wasn't going to be easy, but the Marine spirit would help them through it.

Each of the nearly three million men and women who served in Vietnam tells a unique story. Each one tells their truth about Vietnam. These five stories from one small area of rural Illinois take place during 1969, the height of America's involvement in the war.
Into the Mouth of the Cat
Lance P. Sijan is the only United States Air Force Academy graduate to ever receive the Medal of Honor. This documentary portrays the captain's life and depicts the period of his life after ejecting from his damaged aircraft over North Vietnam and the time he spent as a prisoner of war. The film also demonstrates how his family values intersected with the Air Force's core values of "integrity first, service before self, and excellence in all we do" and explains why the Code of Conduct must be part of every military professional's lifestyle.
