Marne Soldiers partner with communities to remember 9/11FORT STEWART, Ga. – Countless hands were placed over hearts during recitations of the Pledge of Allegiance, and numerous hand salutes were rendered with precision during renditions of the National Anthem as Soldiers from Fort Stewart, Ga., gathered with citizens, government officials, law enforcement personnel and emergency responders from surrounding communities to participate in patriotic remembrances of the events of 9/11.

‘Vanguard’ community learns to bounce back as a teamSoldiers, family members and Department of the Army civilians associated with the 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, honed their resiliency skills, Sept. 10-14, during a weeklong course hosted by the master resiliency team with Army Community Service on Fort Stewart, Ga. The training marked the first time in the Marne Division in which stakeholders in a single brigade came together to learn how to bounce back from adversity as a team.

Jason Wesbrock said he hopes the 5th Infantry Regiment’s 200-year-old history will help define and cement his legacy as a leader of the 1st Battalion, 5th Infantry Regiment, 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division.
