- The
MARINe Steering
Committee
provides management direction and ensures continuous funding of the data
collection.
- The
MARINe Science
Panel
developed the protocols, tested the data to determine spacing and
timing, and provided critical guidance on the database development. They
continue to evaluate new protocols and technologies and jointly review
data for peer reviewed publications.
- The
MARINe Database
Panel
provided the expertise initially to set up the database. A subset of the
original group regularly queries the data to ensure data accuracy.
- The
Rocky Intertidal Health Subcommittee
is designing bioindices of health for rocky intertidal communities for
use by decisionmakers. These indices will provide scientifically based
approaches to measure the relative health of a given community.
- The
MARINe Survey Teams
conduct the monitoring at established sites.
