AESDirect Upgrades

On Sunday 6-23-2002 three new enhancements were introduced into the AESDirect interactive WWW interface, these are:

1. The existing AESDirect Print function has been upgraded. The new Print function produces a printed document that looks like a paper SED. Because of this format change the new print function will only work for shipments that have been retrieved from AESDirect. To use the print function users must first submit their shipment to AESDirect, have it accepted, and then retrieve it. This new print function requires that users have the Acrobat Reader software installed on their computer.

2. A new shipment status report has been added to the Shipment Reporting function. This new report is identical to the existing shipment status report except it displays the XTN number for each shipment instead of the ITN number. The ITN version of the report will remain the default report. The XTN status report may be obtained by selecting it from the Report Type pull down list on the lower potion of the Shipment Reporting screen.

3. On the AESDirect View Screen and the new Print all coded items will now display have their description displayed in addition to their AES code.
