Abby Phillip is a staff writer. Before joining POLITICO, she interned with the ABC News Channel 7 investigative team in Washington and was a writer and executive editor at The Harvard Crimson. In the summer of 2009, as a POLITICO intern, Phillip reported on the health care reform negotiations and town hall meetings gone wild and uncovered senators' big expenditures on private planes.

Phillip graduated from Harvard University with a degree in government, focusing on international development and politics. A Washington-area native, she hails from Bowie, Md., and since returning to the area, she is looking forward to traveling, reading and cooking for family and friends.
